Fishing and Boating
Why not throw a line in at one of the many beaches or jetties in the area, or launch your boat for a day out on the water?
The ocean here is a Shark Refuge Area, so no taking of shark, skates and rays. However, some of the fish you may hook include mullet, flathead and salmon.
There are boat ramps located at:
Port Sorell Dual boat ramp with central pontoon. Exposed in north west to northerly weather. Access restricted at low tide.
Squeaking Point Single lane concrete boat ramp.
Hawley Beach Single lane concrete boat ramp. Exposed in north to north easterly weather. Restricted at low tide.
Panatana Rivulet Boat Ramp Single lane bitumen boat ramp. Access at high tide, restricted at low tide.
