The Camp is situated in Kermode Street, Port Sorell. Operated by a Committee of the Rubicon Sea Scout Group, it provides 14 bunkrooms (with heaters) to accommodate up to 100 people with five being adapted for backpackers (total 28 persons) with their own kitchenette and lounge room. Situated 15 minutes drive from Devonport ferry terminal and airport, it has 5 hectares of bushland with cleared areas suitable for camping, campervans/motor homes with grey water/sullage facility.
The bunkrooms have variable number of bunks (6/8) with one being a family room with a double bed and adjoining unit with four bunks for the children. There is a communal amenities block adjacent to the units with a free laundry, including irons and dryers. A large hall is near the units suitable for playing indoor games such as badminton, volleyball etc and a half size basketball court as well as being an ideal site to hold small conferences. A modern commercial kitchen alongside the hall is available for fully catered groups (up to 120 people) as well as BBQ facilities which can be used by campers. There is a full sized footy/cricket oval and many safe playing areas for children, plus a half court tennis area, walking tracks and nature reserve. There is a 24 hour reception (Caretakers live on-site) a booking facility on-line as well as phone/fax.
